Legal Cycling:
New England's Freshest Team is Powered by Legal Sea Foods

BOSTON, MA. - April 11, 2007 - There's a fresh, new sports team in town: Legal Sea Foods, the Massachusetts-based restaurant group, has signed on as the title sponsor of Psyclone Sports' elite cycling and triathlon team for the 2007 season. Comprised of fifteen top-ranked cyclists and triathletes, the squad will sport the Legal Sea Foods colors in race events across the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions, including the 2007 Boston Marathon.

MetLife, the global financial services company, and unlose.it, a lost items recovery service, have joined on as the team's presenting sponsors. Officially known as the Legal Sea Foods Pro-Am Cycling & Triathlon Team, the squad will focus on races in the Greater Boston region while also sailing south for high-profile events in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

"Partnering with the team makes perfect sense for us since so many of their races are located near one of our 34 restaurants," says Ann Flannery, Director of Marketing for Legal Sea Foods. "Many of our 3,600+ employees are avid cyclists and runners; our entire company is excited about wearing the new team gear!" Two members of the team, one cyclist and one triathlete, are qualified entrants in next week's 111th running of the Boston Marathon. "While I've run Boston before, this adds a whole new dimension; every Bostonian loves Legal Sea Foods so with over 500,000 fans on the course, it'll get wicked loud once that smiling fish comes running down the road!" says cyclist and runner J. Alain Ferry, referring to the restaurant's legendary logo.

The Legal Sea Foods cycling squad is comprised of 11 USACycling category 1 and category 2 riders. Amongst them, the 2005 Connecticut State Champion, 2005 and 2006 New Hampshire State Champions and the 2006 Eastern Collegiate Champion. The triathlon squad includes three female triathletes and former pro Jeffrey Boyd, the 2005 USA National Duathlon Champion. While each team member trains an average of 15-25 hours per week during the season, all maintain full-time jobs or pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees, qualities which further please the sponsors. "We're very proud of these athletes; they represent our core values well and give the phrase 'healthy living' a whole new meaning." says Roger Berkowitz, CEO of Legal Sea Foods.
